Maddy Bates was an undergraduate senior and will be graduating this December. She is dual-enrolled in the Master’s program at UW-Stout. She serves on the MAND 2022-23 Student Board.
Why are you excited to join the MAND Student Board? “To try something new! It opens opportunities for networking with current Minnesota RDs, continued education, and growth in my leadership skills. I strive to learn as much as I can to better my understanding of nutrition, along with the challenges that can prevent everyday people from reaching their nutrition goals. A position on the MAND student board opens doors for me as an aspiring register dietitian. For my fellow Minnesotans, and with more professional educators providing evidenced-based information, we are on a path to optimize Minnesotan’s overall health through food and nutrition.”
