Tell us about yourself: I am currently in my Master’s program in nutrition and dietetics at University of Wisconsin – Stout, where I am also completing my DPDs. I received my undergraduate in exercise science at Concordia University – St Paul, where I also played women’s basketball. I currently am working as a sports nutrition intern with the RD for Gopher Football!
What got you interested in nutrition/dietetics? I grew up around sports and had always been interested in nutrition and fueling my body. Through networking, I met with Registered Dietitians, which helped guide me to my passion for this profession! I love the opportunity to explore different areas within dietetics. I have always known I wanted to work with people and collaborate to impact the health of others.
What nutrition topics or issues are you interested in learning more about? Eating disorders, metabolic disorders, sports nutrition, diabetes
What type of career path(s) are you exploring? Working as a sports dietitian or working in- or out-patient with eating disorders. I have recently become very interested in metabolic defects/disorders and would love to explore more into opportunities that may be available in that area as well.
