Rosemary Unglaub

Tell us about yourself: I am currently a student at Concordia College, Moorhead. On campus, I am apart of the softball team and am an involved member of the DPD Advisory Board and the Faculty Advisory Board. During my free time I volunteer at Gigi’s Playhouse with their Kids Kitchen program and Leaps & Bounds program. I am currently working as a Nutrition Assistant for the Concordia Dining Service and am a Food Service Assistant at Essentia Hospital.
What got you interested in nutrition/dietetics? I have always excelled in science and mathematics in school and always found joy in experimenting and problem-solving calculations. Combining my passion of cooking and baking with these skills is how I discovered the field of nutrition/dietetics.
What nutrition topics or issues are you interested in learning more about? Gut microbiome and the gut-brain connection, pediatric nutrition care and nutrition education, and sports nutrition care and education (pre and post activity fueling)
What type of career path(s) are you exploring? Pediatric MNT (inpatient or outpatient), sport nutrition, orthopedic nutrition (outpatient setting)
