Tell us about yourself: I grew up in a small town in Northern Minnesota called Eveleth. I am a Senior at Minnesota State University, Mankato studying dietetics. I am the President of our Student Dietetic and Nutrition Organization (SDNO) where we hear from professionals within the field, volunteer in our communities, and learn how to grow as future professionals. I love to cook, bake, hike, and spend time with my friends and family!
What got you interested in nutrition/dietetics? I have always loved to learn about health and nutrition. I took it upon myself to read articles, blog posts, books, and anything else that interested me to learn more about these topics. When I learned their role, I realized that my interests and attention were centered around a career in health and nutrition, becoming a dietitian was the perfect fit.
