EMERGING DIETETIC LEADER AWARD: MAITA LEE, RDN
This award was created in 1999-2000 to recognize the competence and activities of dietitians, regardless of their age, who have made distinctive contributions early in their dietetics career to the Association. The award encourages their continued participation in Association leadership roles.

Maita Lee is a Registered Dietitian. She works at Ramsey County Public Health WIC as a Supervisor. She has shown her leadership skills in a variety of settings including schools, public health, political campaigns and community organizations. She is passionate about increasing diversity and leadership in dietetics which has led her to serve on the current MAND Board as a the Diversity, Inclusion, Equity and Belonging Director. Maita was nominated by MAND and selected for the Academy’s Leadership Academy in 2022-2023.
