Kendal Burstad, PhD, RDN, is the new Engagement Director with MAND and is eager to connect with nutrition professionals. She has clinical experience in oncology, food allergies, and medical nutrition therapy, and earned her PhD from the University of Minnesota in 2023. Kendal now works as a Medical Science Liaison in the area of nephrology, where a major part of her role is to build relationships with healthcare providers.
Kendal is excited about the upcoming Nutrition Professionals Connect week to meet members and non-members in the nutrition community. After attending several Connect events last year, she shared, “It was a fun way to meet others passionate about nutrition and dietetics. Everyone was so welcoming and approachable, which made it a great networking experience.” She believes that networking and connecting with others is valuable for sharing knowledge, fostering collaboration, and creating opportunities for mentorship, career growth, and collective impact on patient care.
